Hats and more......

I designed this hat the other day for my Mom's 75th Birthday party.  The party's theme was hats, so I thought instead of buying one I would make one.  I so enjoyed creating this little sculpture that I'm going to make more.

These are all the wonderful ladies who came to celebrate my Mom's birthday.  My Mom is the lady sitting in red with the white hat.

The day was so much fun, a lot of laughter, a lot of food and especially birthday cake!!!

  1. Hi Suzanne,
Wow, awesome and um, my hat's off to you in this posting. Your creativity is marvellous and what a happy gathering. Belated birthday wishes to your beloved mother.
And with that, I shall now put my Canadian toque back on my head, eh :)
All the best and have a pleasant day in Victoria.

  3. Hello Suzanne:
What a glorious 'fascinator' you created in celebration of your mother's birthday. Such a fun idea for everyone to wear a hat and yours looks like an art installation. Yes, more, in a rainbow of colours would be wonderful!

  5. Lovely hat Suzanne, I love the way you look with it. It is worthy of a royal gathering at the British Court where hats are mandatory :). Happy Birthday to your lovely mom, may she live a beautiful looong life to witness her daughter's brilliant future :). Hi to all those sweet elegant ladies :).

  10. Suzanne, I love hat. But I have a problem: my head is small and I have trouble finding hats that fit comfortably.
