My favorite trees

I do love where I live, in my opinion the area is the best in Victoria.  I'm a 20 minute walk into the middle of town,  a 2 minute walk into Beacon Hill Park, and less than 10 minutes to the ocean.  I have a car, but barely use it as I do love walking everywhere.  There is so much to see such as all the different trees that have all their own personalities.

I love the one above as it reminds me of a woman dancing in the middle of the forest.  The one below is so defined in detail, I do love to draw the roots that reach up to the sky.

And at dusk, against the sky a whole new world opens up.  

A single thought

The weather has really only started to get warm here in Victoria, so now I find myself roaming around the local park that is only a couple of blocks away from my home.  The local park gardeners have yet cut the long grass that now has grown about 3 feet high.  I love walking through the fields, it reminds me when I was a child running through the wheat fields on my Grandparents farm.  This picture was taken while I sit among the grass, hidden from people' eyes, enjoying being surrounded my nature.  While taking this picture, something started to crawl and me.  I very cute caterpillar was wanting onto my foot, so I picked it up to look at it closely.  I must admit, I began to talk to it.  A person walked by and looked over, and saw me talking to myself. LOL!!!  A little crazy perhaps????

Reconsidering .........

About a week ago, I found out that someone was stealing my poetry.  He was also on my Facebook page and posted my work, and of course, (he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer) I saw them.  I reported him to facebook and then shut down my blog.  I was upset as posting my creativity is a very sacred way for me to share with you.

Well, my wonderful blogger friend http://unikorna.blogspot.ca/ suggested that I take my poetry off my blog and keep showing my artwork.  Wow, what a fabulous idea!!!  Thank you Petronela!!!

Mash Potatoes Anyone!!!!

THIS DRAWING IS DEDICATED TO ALL MY FOOD BLOGGER FRIENDS!!!

In the last drawing class I taught, I had my students render kitchen utensils from forks, spoons, can openers, and potato mashers.  Some of them loved it and some thought OMG how boring, but oh well can't please everyone!!!

I do love to cook, but unlike my very talented food blogger friends I will stick to drawing the utensils instead of using them in my kitchen.  LOL!!!!
